Final Project

Create a webpage that showcases the many HTML and CSS concepts covered in this course.

Technical Requirements

HTML

Create at least two HTML files that are accessible from each other via hyperlinks. Throughout those pages, include the items below.

Note: not all of these requirements must appear on every page. However, they should appear on at least one page

  • All of the basic HTML tags (html, body, head)
  • A header
  • At least one list
  • At least one iframe
  • At least two images
  • At least three hyperlinks
  • A proper link to a CSS file

CSS

Create a CSS file containing:

  • At least ten style declarations
    • ex: background: blue is one declaration
  • At least one id selector
  • At least one class selector
  • At least one element selector
  • At least one responsive element (hint: use Bootstrap!)

Presentations

Students will be expected to present their projects at the last meeting of the semester.

Content

The presentation should include:

  • Background about the idea behind the website
  • An overview of the website's functionality
  • An explanation of any new topics learned
  • A brief look into any relevant or interesting parts of the code
  • A discussion of any challenges that arose during the project development

Procedure

  • If a student is able to share their screen and talk through their project on Zoom, that is preferred
    • If a student does not have a microphone, they can join the Zoom meeting from a telephone
    • If a student cannot share their screen, they should send a link to their final project
  • A student also has the option of recording a video presentation
  • There will be a defined schedule and order for each student to present
  • If a student does not present a final project, they may not be able to move onto the next level of Hy-Tech Club
